Glen Ray Abbott was born in Monticello, Kentucky on August 8, 1932 the son of the late Albert and Leean (Lawson) Abbott. He departed this life Wednesday, July 5, at his home on Center Street reaching the age of 84 years.

On May 30, 1964 he untied in marriage with Lucy Towe Abbott who survives. To this 53 year union 4 children survive: Mike (Karen) Abbott, Glenna Gallagher, Donna (Bob) Fizer, and Gwen (Lynard) Snell.

Also surviving are his sisters: Grace Baker, Mary Bowlin, and Lena Burks, Along with 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren to morn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Marie Troxell, Sue Owens, and Joe Adams.

Glen retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and enjoyed investing in real estate where he and Lucy owned and managed properties for over 50 years. He had accepted Christ as his savior and was a member of the Harvest Time Tabernacle.
