Steve Abbott, 71, farmer, died Tuesday from the same kind of accident that killed his wife four years ago this month.
A portion of a tree that Abbott was sawing down fell on top of his head. He died two hours later.
In 1934 when the Abbotts were living in the Cumberland Mountains near the Tennessee line, Mrs. Abbott was injured fatally when a heavy tree limb felled her as she was cutting wood.
Abbott was sawing the tree limb on his farm home in the Steubenville section about five miles from Monticello.
He leaves eight children. //// Son of Samuel Abbott
and Susie Brown
