Maria Louise Wehrly, daughter of John D. and Sophia (Shue) Wehrly, was born September 20, 1867, and died at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin V. Dubs, Brodbeck's, Pa., with whom she made her home for many years, on May 18, 1938, aged 70 years, 7 months, and 28 days.
Miss Wehrly was a patient sufferer of diabetes for about 8 years. She was a faithful and devoted member of St. Jacob's (Stone) Evangelical and Reformed Church for more than 50 years. As long as health permitted she was a regular attendant at church and Sunday school.
The funeral services were held on Saturday morning, May 21, 1938. Services both at her late home and at the Stone Church. The funeral text was chosen by the deceased: Psalm 122.1.
