PELHAM-Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Thompson, Rt. 2, Cairo, were held Sunday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Hugh Lee Brinkley officiating, assisted by the Rev. A. J. Cooke. Interment was in the church cemetery with Braswell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Thompson, a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, died Friday at a local hospital.
Survivors include six sons, A. J. Thompson, Pavo, H. R. Thompson, Thomasville, W. L. Thompson, Cairo, B. C. Thompson and J. C. Thompson both of Auburndale, Fla., and Jim Thompson, Pelham, three daughters, Mrs. Mary Smith, Miami, Fla., Mrs. Ruby Gordon, Palm Harbor, Fla., and Mrs. Louise Norton, Meigs; 37 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; 11 great - great grandchildren; a half brother, Van Britt, Fort Valley, Ga., and a sister, Mrs. H. R. Rollins, Boston, Ga.
