Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smith, 61, who died, Feb. 27th at her home in Orlando, Fla., were held March 2, at 3 p.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Kelley and Rev. Clyde Thompson officiating. Interment was in the Macedonia Cemetery.
She was a native Georgian, born Feb. 28, 1903. She was the daughter of the late William Alexander and Laura Britt Thompson.
She is survived by one son, Junior Collins, and a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Jackson, Orlando.
Her brothers are Jim Thompson, of Pelham, A. J. Thompson, of Pavo, H. R. Thompson, of Thomasville, W. L. Thompson, of Cairo, Beauford Thompson, of Auburndale, and J. C. Thompson, of Auburndale. Two sisters, Mrs. Boyd Gordon, Palm Harbor, Fla., Mrs. Gus Norton, Pelham.
Pallbearers were Ralph Thompson, William Thompson, Douglas Norton, Jerry Thompson, Ray McGraw, Jerry Humphries. Braswell Funeral Home in charge.
