Find a Grave ID

I had no idea I would find my true calling after the age of 50. I was always told I was TOO METICULOUS WITH DETAILS. I love working with facts and puzzles and thoroughly enjoy researching. I must enjoy it because I have spent the last 30 years in research and researching at my current job.

I love the Find A Grave community. They are very helpful, patient, and kind. I try to add every little puzzle piece to the family memorials, not just my own. Any additional info that I find is uploaded in hopes of helping all the families be able to connect with their ancestry.

If I find a photo or obituary of another person and add it to their memorial, please see that as a sign of true respect. It upsets me to see a memorial without any image other than just a Find A Grave question mark. I may intentionally go looking for a marriage record or early school photo to add. It is done purely out of honor and respect. Doing things like that seems to give insight into that person's life so you can get to know them as they were. I have read many things on a person's memorial and just thought "WOW", I wish I could have met that awesome person!

I try not to suggest any edits unless I have thoroughly researched my information. I do make mistakes but hopefully not many because I am constantly checking and double checking behind myself. I know how easy it is to get crossed up and I am very thankful the members here let me know or correct me in such a nice way when I do. Unfortunately, like your own neighborhood though, there are some that seem to only have bad days in life and "LUCKY ME" gets to cross their path.

Feel free to use any photos, etc. that I provide because this information is shared for all of us to learn more and connect with our families and friends. Please add any photos, etc. that you may have for others to enjoy as well as myself.

Brick Walls are one of the most frustrating things you may encounter while researching your family history. If I can help you possibly chip away or remove even just one of the bricks in your way, please let me know.
