Lorene Tackett Conley, 74, died Saturday, June 24, 2001. Mrs. Conley was born April 10, 1927, in Johnson County to the late Sanford and Dora Bayes Tackett. Also preceding her in death are her husband Thomas James Conley who died February 16, 1998. Surviving her death are one daughter, Anna Ruth Conley Brown of Tampa, Florida; and one brother, Harvey Tackett of Van Lear. Also surviving her death are two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 28, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating the service was Tobe Wheeler. Burial followed at the Highland Memorial Park, at Staffordsville.
