Mrs. Pelphrey was born February 24, 1916 in Johnson County, the daughter of Sanford and Dora Bayes Tackett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Pelphrey, in 1978.
Surviving are two sons, Glen and Hank Pelphrey, both of Tutor Key; four daughters, Mary Ratliff of Whitehouse, Barbara VanHoose of Urbana, OH, Helen Harmon of Charleston, SC, and Wanda Adkins of New Carlisle, OH; one brother,
Harvey Tackett of Staffordsville; three sisters, Lillie Brown of Paintsville, Lorene Conley of Hager Hill and Jessie Maynard, of Springfield, OH, and 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
Officiating at services in Preston Funeral Home Chapel were Larry Blair and Harold Conley.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial at Staffordsville.
