Violet Campbell
Violet Jane Campbell, 88, of Portsmouth, died Sat. Oct 17, 1992, at Southern Ohio Medical Centery.
Born Apr. 4, 1904, in Oldtown, Ky., the daughter of the late John and Mary Hilton Johnson, she was a Jehovah's Witness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Campbell, who died in Jan. 1961.
Survivors include six sons, Malcolm L. Campbell of Fort Pierce, Fla., Harlan Campbell of Jackson,
Donald and Nathan Campbell of Baltimore, Md., David Campbell of Lucasville Rt. 5 and William L. Campbell of Benicia, Calif.; four daughters, Mary E. Hehl of Portsmouth, Kathleen McKnight of Waverly, Ruth Campbell of Portsmouth and Pheda (sic) Klinger of Atlanta, Ga.; and three brothers, Nathan Johnson, James Johnson and Charles Johnson of Lucasville.
She was preceded in death by three children and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10am Wed. at the Daehler Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Paul Bailey officiating and interment at Scott Campbell Cemetery (sic).
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tues at the funeral home.
