OLD TOWN – Lilliam C. (Legasse) McMahon, 84, died peacefully Nov. 10, 1997, at an Orono health-care facility after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born March 29, 1913, in Lewiston, the daughter of Maxim and Clarissa (Lizotte) Legasse. Lillian was a caring, loving mother, grandmother and sister. She grew up in Millinocket and resided in New York City most of her life, returning to Maine four years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Madeline Juran and her husband, Adi of Bayside, N.Y.; five grandsons, Peter, Andrew, John, David and Mark; a granddaughter, Ellen; and three great-grandchildren, all of New York; three sisters, Claire DeNuccio, Ethelyn Montgomery and Nadia Althizer, all of Old Town. Friends are invited to call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home, 287 S. Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at Hoy Family Parish. Interment will be in Millinocket Cemetery. For those who wish donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Maine, Suite 160B, 163 Lancaster St., Portland 04101.
