Mrs. Oda (Blinn) Beard, 87, of route 1, Rossville, died Friday in the Wabash Valley sanitorium in Lafayette where she had been a patient for four years. She had been seriously ill nine months. Born in Madison township, she spent most of her lifetime in this county. In 1891 she married Edward T. Beard who died in 1947. She was a member of the Pyrmont EUB church.
Surviving are two sons: Millard of New York and Russell of Lafayette;a daughter, Ruth White of route 1, Rossville; three sisters also survive.
Funeral rites were held Monday from the Pyrmont EUB church with Rev. William Bushee officiating. Burial was in the Delphi Masonic cemetery.
