The Chico Enterprise (Chico, California) 28 Jul 1941, Monday Page 4: Thomas Tatman Taken by Death. Thomas A. Tatman, former Chico resident and for the past several years operator of the Tatman Bakery in Oroville died last night in Fort Miley veteran’s hospital.

Tatman was a native of Chico and had lived here most of his life until moving to Oroville. He had been ill for two years and was a veteran of the World War. He was a member of the Oroville Post, American Legion.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Ruth Tatman; a ten-year-old son, Raymond Tatman; his mother, Mrs. Martha Tatman and a sister, Mrs. Ralph Baker, obth of Chico; three brothers, Roy of Scotia, Floyd of Arcata and William of Yuba City.

Funeral services will be held at Hamilton and Riley’s in Oroville Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. and burial will follow in the Chico cemetery.
