Chico Record (Chico, California) 17 Sep 1929, Tuesday Page 5: Laura Harris Dies At Home. Death at 7 o’clock yesterday morning summoned Mrs. Laura Harris, 48, wife of John O. Harris. She died at her home on Eleventh Avenue.

Mrs. Harris was a native of Nebraska and had resided in Chico for the last 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Royal Neighbors of America and Halleck Relief Corps.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Westfall Funeral Home, with the Rev. L.G. Morony of the Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services in the Chico Cemetery will be conducted by the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Surviving, other than the widower, are two daughters, Mrs. Velma Caywood of Santa Barbara and Miss Martha Harris of Chico; two sons, Oscar and William Harris, also of Chico; four brothers, Roy Tatman of Scotia, William Tatman of Chico, Thomas Tatman of Oroville and Floyd Tatman of Arcata; a sister, Mrs. Viola Baker of Oroville, and the mother, Mrs. Mattie Tatman of Chico.
