On Sept. 14, 1919, a few days before his 24th birthday, Joe Heddins married Vula Mary Scott in Van Zandt County, Texas. Joe & Vula had no children.
After Joe's death, Vula moved to Sweetwater, Texas and lived with family members. Although the joint tombstone at Myrtle Springs Cemetery lists her name & year of birth, she was buried in Sweetwater.
