In 1926, his family traveled by horse and wagon from Illinois to southeast Missouri. Once in Missouri, he met his wife Ester Lewis, who he married on Christimas Eve of 1927.
He was an active member of his church most of his life. He was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Clyde is survived by two daughters, two sons, fourteen grandchildren, as well as many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren. (Names omitted per FG policies).
