MRS. ANNA BUTLER DIES AT SHOALS

Mrs. Anna Jane Butler, 76, died at 1:00 a.m. today at her home on R.R. 2, Shoals. She had been ill for the past two weeks.

Mrs. Butler was born September 2, 1879, in Martin County, the daughter of Louis and Nancy (Gowan) Gammon.

On January 1, 1899, she married Alfred Butler, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Fairview E.U.B. Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Emma Murry-Loogootee, Mrs. Christina Spurgeon-French Lick, Mrs. Dora Gray and Margaret Probasco-both of Shoals, and four sons, Cleta Butler, Clarence Butler, Roscoe Butler and Albert Butler-all of Shoals. Three children preceded her in death.

Also surviving are three brothers and one sister, James Gammon of Hamond, Arthur Gammon, William Gammon, and Mrs. Alice Nigg, all of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. D.S.T. Monday at the Queen Funeral Home in Shoals, with burial in the Butler Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Queen Funeral Home after 12 p.m. Sunday.
