Jefferson Thompson
PORTAGE -- Jefferson D. Thompson, a longtime area resident, died today at Porter Memorial Hospital.
A veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps, he was born March 30, 1920 in Logansport, the son of Jefferson D. and Ida Belle Thompson. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are three daughters, Cynthia Zagorac of Portage, Michele Lucas of Valparaiso and Christine Smith of Michigan; and five grandchildren; three sisters and a brother.
Services 1 p.m. Monday at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Valparaiso; visitation 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
