Laura Ellen Akes, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Akes, was born May 21, 1893 and died February 1 1926, being at the time of her death 27 years, 10 months, and 14 days old. She was united in marriage to William Negley Oct 3 1911. To this union was born the children, Opal Irene age 7 years and Paul Frederick age 9 months. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, two small children, an aged father and mother, two brothers and four sisters. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her to the great beyond. Ella lived her entire life in Decatur county where she leaves a host of friends to mourn her untimely death.
Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday, February 10th at 10:30 conducted by Rev. E. C. Vanderpool. Interment in Palestine cemetery
