Miss Mary V. Smith aged 26 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noah F. Smith of Annville, died at her home Saturday evening of complications which had kept her bedfast since January.

She was born in Rockingham County, [Va.] and moved with her family to Pennsylvania in 1921. She was graduated from Palmyra high school with the class of 1929, and prior to becoming ill she was employed at the Palmyra Paper Box factory.

She was active in the work, of the Church of the Brethren at Palmyra, of which she was a member, and also in the Sunday school where she served as secretary of the junior department. A cheerful disposition, and a personality which radiated friendliness won for her scores of friends who join with her family in their sorrow.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by four brothers and one sister, Joseph O. and Isaac R. of Palmyra, Jacob N., of Annville, and Harry and Anna at home.

The funeral was held Tuesday from the home of her parents. The services were in charge of Rev. Frank Carper assisted by Revs. Walter Hartman, A. C. Reber, John Zug, Stauffer Curry and Frank Garber. Burial was in the Spring Creek Cemetery.

A large crowd of relatives and friends attended coming from Virginia, Maryland, Indiana and Washington.
