Melvin Palmer

Melvin Page Palmer, 43, 611 Washington, died as a result of a deer-hunting accident Sunday near Rockland.

He was born Dec. 19, 1914, at Malad, a son of William and Phyllis Page Palmer. He lived also in Dayton and in Preston for some time. He married Inez Sophia Rasmussen at the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple July 1, 1936. They lived in Preston until 1941 and moved to Salt Lake where they had lived for four years. In 1946 they came to Pocatello.

Mr. Palmer was an elder in the Twenty-fourth Ward, North Pocatello Stake, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had worked as a carpenter most of his life. He was active in the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his widow, a son, Paul, Pocatello; a daughter, Karen Wardle, Pocatello;, seven brothers, James, Preston; Roscoe, Jarvis, Douglas, and LaVon, all of Ogden; DeLamar of Weston, Darrell of California; three sisters, Mrs. Homer D. Williams, Grace; Mrs. John W. Berg, Firth; Mrs. Suel Murdock, Preston and two grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Manning Funeral Chapel.
