Death Claims Phillis Palmer

Preston-Mrs. Phillis Louisa Page Palmer, 79, died Tuesday evening at the family home after an extended illness.

She was born Feb. 12, 1886, at Lewiston, a daughter of James and Emma Kemp Page. She was married June 12, 1907, to William Palmer in Logan Temple.

A school teacher in early years, Mrs. Palmer had been active in church duties, serving as president of Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association and Primary; as Stake Primary president for nine years. She was active in research and in teaching genealogy; a Relief Society teacher and topic trainer for seven years and secretary of Sunday School. Mrs. Palmer was teacher of Religion Class and Primary at the age of 16. She had resided at Dayton, Malad, Holbrook, Lewiston, Ogden, and Preston.

Surviving are her husband of Preston; seven sons and three daughters; James W., Preston; Roscoe M., Jarvis P., Lavon P., and Douglas P., of Ogden; DeLamar, Kaysville; Darrell P., Fortuna, Calif.; Mrs. Homer (Ruby) Williams, Hailey; Mrs. John (Ruth) Berg, Firth; Mrs. Suel (Willa Gae) Murdock, Preston; 46 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters; Cora Myler, Clarkston; Rebecca Beebe, Los Angeles, Calif.' Ivy Jensen, Idaho Falls; Alexia Chapman and Arville Page, Firth; Rhoda Bodily, Fairview; Irvin Page, Dayton; Cyrus Page, Ogden.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Oneida Stake Center. Friends may call at Webb Mortuary Friday evening and Saturday prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Dayton Cemetery.

Preston, Idaho-Mrs. Phillis Louisa Page Palmer, 79, of Preston, formerly of Ogden, died Tuesday at her home after an extended illness.

Mrs. Palmer was born Feb. 12, 1886, in Lewiston, Utah, a daughter of James and Emma Kemp Page. On June 12, 1907, she was married to William Palmer in the Logan LDS Temple.

She had resided in Dayton, Malad, Holbrook and Preston, Idaho, and Lewiston and Ogden, Utah. She had been a school teacher. A member of the LDS church, she had been president of the MIA, Primary and Stake Primary Board, active in genealogy and Relief Society and was a Sunday School secretary.

Surviving are her husband, seven sons and three daughters, James W., Preston; Roscoe M. and Jarvis P., Ogden; Lavon P., Douglas P., both of Washington Terrace; De Lamar, Kaysville; Darrell P., Fortuna, Calif.; Mrs. Homer (Ruby) Williams, Hailey, Idaho; Mrs. John (Ruth) Berg, Firth, Idaho; Mrs. Suel (Willa Gae) Murdock, Preston; the following brothers and sisters: Erwin, Dayton, Idaho; Cyrus, Ogden; Orville Firth; Cora Myler, Clarkston, Utah; Rebecca Beebe, Los Angeles; Ivy Jense, Idaho Falls; Alexis Chapman, Firth; Rhoda Bodily, Fairview.
