Harvey C. Grote

Harvey C. Grote, 90, of Hanover RD 6, died Tuesday at Golden Age Nursing Home, where he had lived the past six months. He was the widower of Irene E. Grote.
Born in Manheim Township, he was a son of the late Charles and Saranda Sterner Grote.
He was a retired Codorus Township farmer, and was a member of the Lutheran congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church near Glenville.
He is survived by two daughters, Margaret A. Leese and Dorothy L. Stambaugh, at home; a foster son, Raymond Sload, Mount Wolf; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter, and a brother, Albert E. Grote, Codorus.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. His pastor, the Rev. Richard C. Weaver, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Union Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
