James Leon Memory, 64, Kibbee, died in a Macon hospital, early Saturday morning.


A lifetime resident of Montgomery County, Mr. Memory was a son of the late John Memory and Mrs. Minnie Williamson Memory. He was married to the former Miss Lona Mable O'Conner, who died in 1956.


Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J.G. Webb of Soperton and Mrs. Charles Gillis, Jr., of Vidalia; six sisters, Mrs. Shelley Hamilton of Vidalia, Mrs. E.R. Allmond of Kibbee, Mrs. Arnold Calhoun of Tarrytown, Mrs. Tom Hilton of Dublin, Mrs. N.L. Williams of Vidalia, Mrs. James Williams of Chicago; two brothers, Hilton Memory of Kibbee and Herbert Memory of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren.


Funeral services were conducted at 2:30, Sunday afternoon, in the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Hugh Harbor officiating. Burial was in the Williamson Cemetery under the direction of Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton.


Pallbearers were John Quay Allmond, E.R. Allmond, Jr., Charles Hamilton, Kenneth Hamilton, Louie Calhoun, Roy Calhoun, J.H. Memory and Emerson Warnock.
