Wells Joiner, we believe, is the son of John Joiner and Mary Wells. He married Celia Ann Elizabeth Causey, and they had 11 children. Wells Joiner's Mason Chapter was No. 42. He died at the beginning of the Civil War. Does anyone know if he was killed during the war, or is that a coincidence?

When I first moved to Georgia, in 1980, I put an ad in the Atlanta Journal asking for anyone with any knowledge of the Wells Joiner family to contact me. In a week or two, I heard from the Kerley family. They invited me into their home one hot summer day, gave me some fresh squeezed lemonade, and told me all about my family, and gave me photocopies of the Joiner family Bible. I am forever grateful for their Southern Hospitality! Also, my father's cousin, Bernice mailed me a hand written copy of the Joiner genealogy going back to Wells and Celia. It was originally written by Bernice's mother, Effie, the twin sister of my grandmother, Ethel Joiner Brady. ~ Rhonda Brady Rampy.

We are descended from Wells and Celia's son, Walter, who went west to Texas and married Sarah/Sallie Humphries who was from either SC or NC. The Kerleys said "We all wondered what became of Walter. You look like our family."

The only child I have not found is Joel Wells Joiner. Does anyone know where he is buried?
