DIES IN OAK CLIFF AT AGE 83 YEARS
Mrs Mary C Apperson, aged 83, died yesterday at her home 212 S Lancaster Avenue, Oak Cliff. Funeral service will be held at the residence at 9 o'clock this morning, the Rev J A Walkup, assisted by Rev E R Barcus, officiating. The burial will be at Wilmer.
Mrs Apperson, who was the widow of J P Apperson, at one time a large land owner in Dallas County was born in Montgomery Co., Illinois, Nov 17, 1831. She came to Texas and settled near Wilmer, Dallas County in 1846. She was married to Mr Apperson 1850. She came to Dallas in 1897.
She leaves six children: Mrs George W Owens, Mrs C L Browning, Mrs E B Robbins, Frank Apperson, Andrew Apperson and Petty Apperson and one sister, Mrs Susan Trigger of Amarillo.
