He is buried beside his first wife and their son. His wife, Virginia Cane - Called Jennie died Sep 15, 1879, ten days after the birth of their son - Elton. Elton lived only ten days after his mother died, or until Sep 25, 1879.

He and Jennie were married 1878.
Obit Published Dallas Morning News July 23, 1924 Frank T Apperson, 71 years old, long time resident of Dallas, died Tuesday afternoon in San Antonio, while visiting his sister. The body will be received in Dallas Wednesday morning and funeral arrangements will be made later.
Mr Apperson is survived by six children and a sister. He lived at 5504 East Side Ave.

Obit Published Dallas Morning News July 24, 1924 F T APPERSON FUNERAL WILL BE HELD THURSDAY Funeral Service for Frank T Apperson, 71 years old who died Tuesday in San Antonio will be held at his residence 5504 East Side Avenue at 9 o'clock Thursday morning.
Dr George Gibson, former pastor of the First Methodist Church of Oak Cliff, will conduct the service. The Ed. C Smith And Brothers Undertaking Company will direct the burial at Wilmer where the body will be taken. Pallbearers will be R F Carlisle, A V Bullmeyer, T E Thompson, J G Downs, W J Kramer and J E Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers will be Royal A Ferris, W W Weatherford, Sam Smith, J R Dumas, John Roberts, Dan Harston, Arthur A Everts, Charles Fanning, C L Dickerson, J T Colwell and Ray Skillern.
Mr Apperson was visiting his sister, Mrs C L Browning at San Antonio when he became ill Sunday with an attack of indigestion. He was removed to the B & f Sanitarium where he died Tuesday afternoon.
He is survived by six children: Mrs M E Threadgill, Mrs W J W Coldwell, Mrs W D Downs and W L, T M and E F Apperson all of Dallas; three sisters Mrs George W Owens and Mrs E B Robbins of Dallas and Mrs C L Browning of San Antonio and two brothers A P Apperson of Madill, Oklahoma and Andrew Apperson of Dallas.
Mr Apperson was a long time resident of Dallas having come here from Waxahachie, where he was born.
