Kouts Woman
KOUTS--Following a three weeks' illness, caused by heart trouble, Miss Kathryn Birky, 57, died early this morning. She was the daughter of Mrs. Jacob Birky, of Kouts.
Surviving in addition to the mother, are seven brothers: Amos, Jonas, Dean, Jake, Samuel, Emory and Emanuel, and two sisters, Mrs. Christ Good and Mrs. Simon Good, all of Kouts and vicinity. The father and one sister, Amelia, preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the home, and at 2 o'clock at the Hopewell Mennonite church, south of Kouts. The Kosanke funeral directors are in charge.
Friends may call at the home Saturday and until time of services Sunday.

BIRKY SERVICES SUNDAY
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Mennonite church south of Kouts for Miss Katie Birky. The Rev. Minniger, of Goshen, and the Rev. Lind, pastor of the church, officiated jointly.
A quartet consisting of Ora Reinhardt, Ralph Birky, Paul Egli and Harold Martin sang. Orvin Good, Orval Birky, Lester Martin, Lloyd Birky, Wesley Birky and Harley Birky served as pall bearers. Burial was in the Mennonite cemetery, west of Kouts.
