She was the daughter of J.T. Rogers and Marilla Copeland and the wife of William "Bill" McClanahan. They had nine children; J.W., John, Mary, Roger, Robert, Leonard, Howard, Billie and Durwood.

Ola Sue Rogers married W.R. McClanahan on 7 January 1912.

She was a longtime member of the Baptist Church.

Services for Ola Sue McClanahan, 78, were held at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Darnell, pastor and Rev. Hubert Foust, pastor of First Baptist Church in Graham officiating.

Mrs. McClanahan was a long time member of First United Methodist Church.

Survived by her husband; six sons - J.W. McClanahan, John McClanahan, Robert McClanahan, Robert McClanahan, Howard McClanahan, Durwood McClanahan; two daughters - Mrs. Mary Botkin and Mrs. Billie Jo Mosley; three sisters - Mrs. Ed Gunnells, Mrs. Ann Brasiers, Mrs. Zula Holt.
