Roger was the son of William Robert and Ola Sue (Rogers) McClanahan. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WW II. Roger married Pattie Miller, October 28, 1949 in Graham. He was a retired employee of Hexcel Corporation and a member of Tonk Valley Methodist Church.
Survivors include; wife, Pattie McClanahan of Graham; son, Lynn McClanahan and wife Martha of Graham; daughter, Janet Shea and husband Richard of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren, Jessica McClanahan, Melissa Floyd and husband Wade, Lindsay Jones, Stacy Robinson and husband Todd; five great grandchildren, Bryce and Dylan Jones, Matilyn and Wyatt Floyd, and Jax Robinson; brothers, Bob McClanahan of Graham and Howard McClanahan of Midland; sister, Billie Jo Mosley of Austin; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard McClanahan, J.W. McClanahan, John McClanahan, and Durwood McClanahan, and a sister, Mary Botkin.
