Mrs. Victoria V. (Bernier) Wood of 565 Durfee Street, widow of Peter Wood, died this morning at the home of her daughter , Mrs. Joseph A. (Mildred) Cote, 22 Prospect Street.
Born in Hudson, NY she was the daughter of the late Stanislaus Bernier and Malvina (Gagnon) Bernier and live in Fall River since her childhood.
A member of the American Gold Star Mothers, Chapter 20, she was a retired employee of the Small Brothers Mfg. Co. and a member of the Sacred Heart parish.
Surviving in addition to her daughter, are another daughter Mrs. Joseph W. (Bernice) Lewis of Swansea; a sister Mrs. Edward Downey of this city; a brother Simon V. Bernier of this city; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral was on a Thursday morning from the John J. Coughlin's Funeral Home, 308 Locust Street with a solemn high mass of requiem at 9 AM in Sacred Heart Church.
