Mrs. Amy C. (Bernier) Canedy died at her home, 33 Meadow Street, this morning after an illness of but a few days. She was the wife of Wiliam Shaw Canedy, a watchman on the Ship Priscilla (Fall River Line), having been married just a few months ago in April.
Amy was the daughter of Malvina (Gagnon) and the late Stanislaus Bernier and was in her 25th year of life.
Besides her husband she is survived by two brothers, Simon V. and Alfred B. Bernier and five sisters Mrs. Elise Cote, Mrs. Agnes Adams, Mrs. Carrie Labrie, Mrs. Victoria Wood and Mrs. Elizabeth (Erezina) Clairmont.
Amy married William Shaw Canedy in Fall River on April 24, 1911.
Less than four months after their wedding Amy died of Odema of Glottis (a swelling caused by fluid accumulation in the soft tissues of the larynx) and Acute Tuberculosis.
Age: 24 yrs 3 mos 3 dys
On 08.29.1911, just 18 days after the death of Amy C. (Bernier) her husband William Shaw Canedy married a waitress named Dora A. Wood of 211 Anawan Street, Fall River. William enlisted in the armed forces of World War One. He died of 2nd and 3rd degree burns suffered in a plane accident in Texas. He died on 10.13.1929, 18 years after his second marriage.

William S. and Dora Wood had three children together; only one lived to adulthood. Dora and William divorced. He married my grandmother, Anna Massey in Mercer County Kentucky while stationed at Camp Knox. At what is now Wright Patterson AFB twins were born, a boy and a girl. He is buried with my grandmother in Bellevue Cemetery in Danville, Kentucky. Dora remarried also, to a Leon Schwab in California. They are buried in Golden Gate Cemetery, San Bruno, California.
