SUMMIT COUNTY RESIDENT DIES

Pearl Moore, wife of David E. Moore, died at 6:45 o'clock this morning in a local hospital, after an illness of many years. She was born in Upton, summit county on February 28, 1888, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Stevens Powell.
She was married in 1906. Surviving are her husband, her mother, who lives in Coalville, and the following sons and daughters: Ardella Moore, Salt Lake; Mrs. Marion Smith, Coalville; Edward, Marie, Fern and Dorothy Moore, all of Upton. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Joseph H. Powell of Coalville; Wilbur Powell, Upton; Mrs. Bertha Anderson, Grantsville; Mrs. Charles Nelson, Kanab; Mrs. Sybil Staley and Mrs. Raymond Hopkins, Coalville.
Services will be held on Thursday afternoon in the Coalville meeting house. The body will be taken to the home of the daughter. Mrs. Smith, in Coalville and friends may call on Wednesday and also on Thursday until time of services. Lindquist & Sons are in charge.

COALVILLE - Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Powell Moore, who died Monday morning in an Ogden hospital, were held in the Summit stakehouse Thursday afternoon under the direction of the Upton ward bishopric. Prayers were by Edmund Rees and Will Robinson. Music was by John Anderson Beard. Speakers were P. H. Neeley, Edward Powell and Elmer Wright. Interment was in Coalville city cemetery.
Pearl Powell was born in Upton and spent her entire life in that community. She was married December 5, 1906, to David E. Moore and to the couple six children were born Ardella Moore, Salt Lake; Mrs. Marion M. Smith, Coalville; Edward, Pearl Marie, Fern and Dorothy Moore, Upton; her mother, Mrs. Mary Stevens Powell; two brothers, Joseph H. and Wilbur W. Powell; four sisters, Mrs. Bethiah Anderson, Grantsville; Mrs. Charles Nelson, Juab; Mrs. Bert Caldwell, Los Angeles; Mrs. Sybill Staley, Coalville.
Mrs. Moore was very active in church work and at the time of her death was an officer in the Upton ward Relief society.
