Mrs. Mary Brown Dies At Warren
Death Claims Widow Of Late Ira Brown Last Night
Mrs. Mary A. Brown, 72, the widow of Ira Brown, former Warren furniture dealer and funeral director, died at the family residence in Warren Thursday night at 9:15 o'clock after a serious illness of one day. She had been in failing health for several years.
Mrs. Brown was born July 8, 1868 [sic 1858], in Jackson township, Wells county, to Isaac and Sally Jones. Mr. Brown, her husband, died eighteen years ago.
Surviving are the following children: Dessie M. Bergman, Ned Brown and Hiram Brown, all of Warren.
Six sisters and a brother are Mrs. John Elspath, of Drumright, Okla.; Mrs. Will Terhune, Colon, Mich.; Mrs. Roy Murray, Mt. Zion; Mrs. Frank White, Mr. Zion; Mrs. Willard Drover, Montpelier, and Mrs. Charles Stinson. Henry Jones of Warren, is the only surviving brother.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the United Brethren church of Warren.
The funeral services will be held at the home at three o'clock Sunday afternoon, in charge of Rev. Charles Slusher, assisted by Rev. Pinkham. Interment will be made in the Woodlawn cemetery, Warren.
