Mrs. G. A. Bergman Is Dead At Warren
Death Occurs Early Sunday And Funeral Will Be Held Tuesday
Mrs. Dessie M. Bergman, 60, wife of George A. Bergman, operator of the H. Brown & Son funeral home at Warren, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday at her home of a heart ailment, following a year's illness. She had been seriously ill three days.
Mrs. Bergman, daughter of Ira S. and Mary A. Jones Brown, founder of the funeral home, was married Nov. 25, 1903, to Mr. Bergman in a ceremony performed at Warren. She was a member of the Warren Methodist church and the D.A.R. chapter at Marion and a life-long resident of this community.
Surviving in addition to the husband are a son, George A., Jr., and a daughter, Martha, both at home, and two brothers, Ned and Hiram Brown, both of Warren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the residence with Rev. J. E. Etter of Greenville, O., who officiated at her marriage ceremony, and Rev. L. M. Hile, pastor of the Warren Methodist church officiating. The body will be placed in the mausoleum in Fairview cemetery here until summer, when burial will take place in Woodlawn cemetery at Warren. Friends have been asked to omit flowers.
