DEATH OF LESLIE SCOWDEN

Leslie Scowden, aged 33, of Summit, formerly of Farmers Valley, died at the Bradford hospital at 10:00 o'clock Monday morning, March 17. following a week's illness of pneumonia.

Mr. Scowden, a splendid young man, had resided at Farmers Valley his entire life up to four years ago when he engaged in the store business at the busy oil field community, Summit, a venture which had been highly successful.

Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Leslie, Evan and Betty; his mother. Mrs. Eva Scowden; one brother, L. E. Scowden; four sisters, Lena and Iola, all of Farmers Valley, and Mrs. R. H. Dugan of Butler, and Mrs. Elmer Skinner of Turtle Point.

The funeral will be held at Farmers Valley this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, the Rev. Finley officiating.

Interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
