Luella Jane Wharton, 95, of Vienna, died February 22, 2006 at the Harmer Place in Marietta. She was born in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Stephen T. and Clara E. Kraft Archer.

Mrs. Wharton retired after 25 years service for the Kootaga Area Boys Scouts where she was a secretary. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Surviving is a daughter Jane L. Peters and her husband Bob of Medina, OH, 2 grandsons Jody Peters of Medina and Jay Peters of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 7 great grandchildren: Zachary, Tyler, Allison, Luke, Bob, Michael and Nate Peters, 3 sisters-in-law: Wanda Conley, Thelma Wharton and Betty Archer, and brother-in-law Donald Wharton.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Harold V. Wharton and 5 brothers: Walter, Norman, Raymond, Frank and Allen Archer.

Funeral services will be Sunday 2PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
