She was born in Madison, NC on October 7, 1922, the 7th of 12 children to Fletcher and Dottie Leake Case.
Hilda is survived by her two devoted daughters, Ramona Campbell and husband, Michael of Hampstead, NC and Rita Covil and husband, Jim of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Laura and Jimmy Campbell, Patrick Covil and Debi Ellen and husband, Glynn; four great grandchildren, Jewel and Mary May, Sean Ellen and Ethan Covil; brother, Paul C. Case, and sisters, Elsie Mabe, Gladys Coble, Majesta Neese, Majora Black, and Josephine Smith.
A woman of great faith, Hilda's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and enjoying music.
Pastor Lottie Rogers will hold a funeral service at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2006 in Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 7:00 PM Tuesday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel and also from 1:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy and Michael Campbell, James and Ronnie Covil, Glenn Ellen, and Corey Magaldino. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul C. Case, Carey Childress, Julius Sewell and David Todd.
The family expresses gratitude to the Pender County Fire/EMS, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Lower Cape Fear Hospice Staff, Dr. Shyam Garg, Connie Carter, staff at Hampstead Medical Center, nieces Wanona Phillips and Karen Hardy and all others for their acts of kindness and support.
