Melvin Carlile Blackston, 88, of Taylors, widower of the late Francis Franklin Blackston, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Born in Pickens, SC, he was the son of the late Lawrence Butler and Pearl Leona Gilstrap Blackston.
Melvin was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and brother. He worked at Monaghan Mill for many years before retirement.
Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Kathy Owens, Tina Livingston and Lisa Manley; two sons, Dwayne Blackston and Andrew Blackston; two sisters, Macie Armonaitis and Bea Davis; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
