Dana Wood Bishop returned to her Heavenly Father on January 27, 2008, in Orem; she joins beloved husband Verdell "Ted" Ray Bishop. Born August 6, 1920, in Holden, to Leonard Ashby and Norma Fay Justesen Wood. Grew up in Glendale, CA, Provo and Holden. Attended Branch Agricultural College at Cedar City. Secured position as stenographer at U.S. Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Entomology and Plant Quarantine at Delta. There she met Verdell Ray Bishop. Married in Salt Lake Temple on October 29, 1941. Made home on Verdell's farm North of Hinckley. Served in various Civic and Church capacities: PTA President, local and regional, Stake Sunday School Secretary and others. Served mission with husband in the Texas San Antonio Mission and as worker in Manti Temple. Life-long love for genealogy and served as staff member of Delta Stake Family History Library. Survived by children: Verdell Ray Jr. (Beverly Fullmer), Orem; Barry Lynne (Karen Richmond), Washington, UT; Patrice Alane (Dean Moody), Baltimore, MD; Jon Bradley (Carol Jean Payne), Orem; Bruce Wood (Roberta Garrett), Thatcher, AZ; and Julie (Michael Brame), Richland, WA. 33 Grandchildren and 49 Great-Grandchildren. Sister: Helen Joyce (Daryl Talbot) of Washington, UT and brother: Lowell Reed Wood (Patricia Wilson) of St. George. Preceded in death by husband: Verdell; son: Paul Wood. Services: Thurs, January 31, 2008, 2 p.m., at Hinckley LDS Ward. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, Wed. Jan 30, 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at church, 12:30 p.m. Burial Hinckley Cemetery.
