Truman E. Mork, age 92, of Watertown, SD passed away on February 19, 2008 at a local care center in Watertown.

Truman was born on September 9, 1915 in Hardin County, Iowa to Nicolai and Jessie (Mork) Mork. He moved with his family to Kenyon, MN and worked on the family farm.

Truman married Sedora "Dora" Sparstad on December 4, 1941 at Sogn Valley, MN. The couple lived throughout Minnesota before moving to Watertown, SD in 1964. Truman worked for various machinery dealers and later was employed by Koehn Manufacturing until his retirement. Dora passed away in November of 2001. Following her death, Truman continued to provide ‘Avon' products to Dora's customers.

He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. He was also a member of the Elks and the Eagles. Truman enjoyed traveling with Dora and later with his sisters, throughout the continental 48 states. He was very proud of this. He truly enjoyed visiting with people, especially his time spent at Perkins and the Drake.

Truman is survived by three children: Donald and his wife, Bonnie Mork, of Nisswa, MN; Shelby and her husband, Norman Miles, of Meadow, SD and James B. Mork of Watertown, SD; three sisters: Elizabeth "Betty" Mork of Owatonna, MN; Norma Thompson of Cresco, IA and Gertrude Mork of Kenyon, MN; five grandchildren: Cameron, Clint and Nicole Miles and Sarah and Renee Mork; and two sisters-in-law: Lois Mork of Kenyon, MN and Helen Mork of Albert Lea, MN.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora; his parents; three brothers; one sister and one sister-in-law.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 23, 2008 in the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Watertown.

Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Honorary pallbearer will be Ron Peterka. Active pallbearers will be: Dan Bergan, Jim Stadheim, Don Kluck, Cam Miles, Clint Miles and Dennis Johnson.
