Alvin Freeman Mork was born August 21, 1922 in Hardin Co, Iowa to Nicolai and Jessie Mork. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. On June 27, 1946 he was united in marriage to Helen Evenson in New Richland. He was employed by Allis Chalmers for 39 years in sales and management previous to his retirement. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and since his retirement had been increasingly involved in "Commitment to Mission."
A son, Howard and his father, Nicolai, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; sons, Bruce Mork of Duluth and Doug Mork of Northfield; daughter, Carole Jean Peterson of Marshall; four grandchildren; his mother, Jessie Mork of Owatonna; brothers Truman Mork of Watertown, SD, Carl and Johnny Mork of Kenyon and sisters, Jemina Mork of Owatonna, Gertrude Mork of Nashwauk, Betty Mork of Albert Lea and Norma Thompson of Cresco. IA.
