Mabel E. Chancellor

Mabel Elizabeth Uhl Chancellor, 77, of Route 2, Walker, died Jan. 24, 1994, at Sheppard Health Care Center, Ellenboro, after an extended illness.

She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late Earl D. and Bertha Athey Uhl. She was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Ricky L. Chancellor of Walker, one daughter Frances Elizabeth Cameron of Grove City, Ohio; two brothers, Douglas Uhl of Parkersburg and Harold Uhl of Boaz; two sisters, Bertha Maddox and Marie Sands, both of Boaz; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Chancellor, in 1985.

Services 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, the Evangelist David W. Newberry officiating. Private burial at a later date, Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown.

Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and until 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
