Georgia Lee Caldwell, nee Hansel, 78, Camdenton, formerly of St. Clair, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in Osage Beach.
Mrs. Caldwell was born Feb. 25, 1929, in St. Clair, the daughter of Eugene Benjamin Hansel and wife Clara Bell, nee Hults.
In May 1947, she was united in marriage to Virgil Franklin Caldwell.
Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Sullivan.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Caldwell was a member of the St. Clair Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil Caldwell; one daughter, Brenda Caldwell; three brothers, Donald, Robert and Wilbur Hansel; and four sisters, Viola LaPeer Lewis, Pearl George, Wilma Light and Marilyn Davis.
Mrs. Caldwell is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Erxleben and husband Danial, Elkland; three granddaughters, Dana Keence and husband Vincent, Union, Raye Heidbrier and husband Jared, Camdenton, and Tara Lowry and husband 1st Lt. Chris, Fort Riley, Kan.; four great-grandchildren, Danial and Ashley Heidbrier, Camdenton, Lillie Lowry, Fort Riley, Kan., and Marcella Keence, Union; two sisters, Kathryn Saling and Thelma Flora, both of St. Clair; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 20, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair. The Rev. Robert Caldwell officiated.
Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Sullivan.
Memorials to Ralph Russo Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2482 of St. Clair are preferred.
