Alvin served in the US Army for 31 years retiring in 1972.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Chong Cha Olson; his children, Sharon (Max) Olson-Ochoa, Paul (Cheryl) and Gene Olson; his four grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Dena Christiansen, Gretha Groseth, Eleanor (Joe) Rodgers, Ina (Robert) Browning, Virginia (Ralph) Myers, George (Jessie), Con, and Verdus (Wanda) Olson; his brother & sister-in-law, Edward & Kathy Lee, also many nieces and nephews.
Services were Monday, January 21st, at the Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Washington Park East Community Life Center, in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
