SPANGLER – On September 17, 1974, at 12:30 p.m., at his home, Seven Valleys RD 1, John B. Spangler, husband of the late Lucy Miller Spangler, aged 79 years, 2 months, 9 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday at 10 a.m. from the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment in Zion (Shaffer’s) Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7 to 9.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to York County Unit of American Cancer Society.

SEVEN VALLEYS – John B. Spangler, 79, husband of the late Mrs. Lucy Miller Spangler, died Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at his home, Seven Valleys RD 1.
Mr. Spangler was born in Codorus Township, son of the late Frank and Mantilla Shearer Spangler. He had been a resident of Seven Valleys since 1923.
He was a member of the Sunday School and the United Church of Christ Congregation of Zion (Shaffer’s) Union Church, near Hanover Junction; Seven Valleys and Jefferson fire companies and Firemen’s Relief Association of the Jefferson company.
Surviving are: Two children, Mrs. Gordon Myers, Seven Valleys RD 1, and Mrs. Carroll Kerchner Jr., Spring Grove RD 3; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Estella Doll, Glenville.
The Rev. Glenn K. Flinchbaugh, Mr. Spangler’s pastor, will officiate at funeral services Friday at 10 a.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Burial will be in Zion (Shaffer’s) Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the York County Chapter of American Cancer Society.
