THE SPRINGFIELD SUN, page 1, Thursday, August 8, 1929. ROBERT FOWLER BURIED TUESDAY. Prominently Known Farmer of This County Died Sunday Afternoon Following brief Illness of Nephritis. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Fredericktown and burial followed the rites in Holy trinity Cemetery. Mr. Fowler died at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at his home near Fredricktown following an illness of two weeks of nephritis. He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Prudie Ferrell, and eight children. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Maud Mudd, Louisville and Miss Deva Fowler of this city and two brothers, Mike Fowler, Bardstown, and Paul Fowler, Fredericktown. The son of the late Joseph B. and Bettie Wathen Fowler, deceased was born and reared in this county and since reaching the age of manhood had been engaged in active farm life, being a successful farmer. He was prominently known throughout the county and was well liked by a large circle of friends.
