Tennessee, U.S., City Death Records, 1872-1923∼On October 5, 1880, she married William A. Lister. She died on April 24, 1892, at her home in Knoxville, Tennessee. There is a short death notice in the issue of May 4, 1892, page 3, of The Carolina Spartan. It mentioned that she was the youngest daughter of Lowry Lanford, deceased. One report says that she had no children, but did adopt a boy named Sam Bryant, and that, after her death, her sister, Mary Ann Lanford Dodd, took Sam in and reared him.
