January 16, Alvin DeWitt Spicer, 65, died. He was the son of Lave (Lafe) and Laura Ellis Spicer born November 24, 1887 in Wayne county. He married Lura E. Yoho December 23, 1906. They had six children. He leaves his widow and children, Mrs. Olive Turner of Mattoon, Mrs. Daisy Hicks of E. Alton, Glen of Sandoval, Reuben of White Hall, Dewitt of Louisville and Mrs. Adaline Arnold of Sandoval and five sisters, Mrs. Ona Bratton of Flora, Mrs. Katie Bratton of Carmi, Mrs. Ora Striegel of Murphysboro, Mrs. Inez Adams of San Bernardino, California and Mrs. Beulah Pennington of Johnsonville.
