Services for Fred A. Still who passed away June 6th, 1970, at St. Francis Hospital, were held Monday, June 8th at the McLaughlin Chapel with the Rev. Emery Adams officiating. Burial was at the Peden Chapel Cemetery. He is survived by his widow, four sons, eight daughters, one brother and three sisters. Also surviving are 36 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Still was the son of Jesse and Georgia (Slaughter) Still and was born August 26, 1894 near Marceline. He spent his entire life in the Marceline community, except for time spent in the Army during the first world war, when he served in Company D-351, 88 Division. Pallbearers were Richard Shannon, Laverne Stanfield, Larry Stanfield, C.L. Lucas, Terry Fisher and Howard Sappington
