"Granny" was born in Texas to John Crittington (J. C.) and Lucy Ellen Scarborough Hodge.

Granny was sister to Etta Genetta Hodge, George Lemuel Hodge, Dora Anna (Aunt Annie) Hodge, Zora Belle Hodge and Thomas Newton Hodge.

She married "Poppa" Labin Gilbert Thomas on July 20, 1916 in Crowder Springs, Choctaw County, Oklahoma.

Her children were Alta Mae Hodge Brownfield-Erwin, Virgil Crittington Thomas, Newton Hurbert Thomas, Albert Standley Thomas,
Muriel Thomas Wright,
and Oletha Thomas Wilson.

Granny was a very talented resourceful homemaker! She knew how to use any kind of needle! She sewed, crocheted, tatted, knitted, gardened & canned everything! (Even chickens feet!) And she made her own lye soap! She also played the organ.
